Krafton India has confirmed that BGMI Lite is coming to India by the end of 2026. The company made the announcement on August 16 and also revealed the first promotional artwork for the upcoming game.
However, Krafton has not announced an exact release date yet. More information about BGMI Lite, including its features, supported devices and availability, is expected to be revealed before the launch.
When Is BGMI Lite Coming to India?
BGMI Lite will arrive as a separate game under the Battlegrounds Mobile India franchise. Krafton India has confirmed that the title is planned to launch in India before the end of 2026.
The company has not confirmed whether BGMI Lite will launch on both Android and iOS. It is also unclear if the game will initially be available on a single platform.
Other details, including the download size and minimum hardware requirements, have also not been revealed.
Krafton India’s first promotional artwork shows the BGMI Lite branding alongside the game’s artwork and a “Coming Soon” message.

What Is BGMI Lite?
BGMI Lite is expected to provide a version of the Battlegrounds Mobile India experience with different requirements and features.
Despite confirming the game, Krafton India has not explained how BGMI Lite will differ from the standard version of BGMI.
It is also unknown whether the game will include the same maps, weapons and game modes available in BGMI.
Krafton has not shared information about account compatibility or progression either. Players still do not know whether their existing BGMI progress will carry over to BGMI Lite.
What Features and Requirements Will BGMI Lite Have?
Krafton India has not announced the complete feature list for BGMI Lite.
Details about graphics settings, frame-rate options, maps, game modes and multiplayer features are still unavailable.
System requirements are also yet to be confirmed. Krafton may reveal supported smartphones, operating system versions, RAM requirements and storage requirements closer to the game’s release.
